This project does not accept any contributions generated using large language models/generative artificial intelligence. This includes any code, text, or images in the contribution as well as any communications such as, but not limited to, pull requests, bug reports, or discussions.
The sample is not intended as the only “right” approach, but rather a representation of the key items to cover.
Visibility is important, so this should go either in your project’s readme or contributing file if you have one. Some projects put their policy in an AGENTS.md file, which is specifically intended for autonomous agents in manner similar to a Robots.txt file. There are two potential drawbacks to this approach – the first is that there’s no guarantee that any autonomous agents will obey this and the second is that many contributions with LLM-generated content will probably still come via human beings who may not notice or read this file.
