Cognitively Engaged Computing

Cognitively Engaged Computing is an in-development framework to ensure that computing tools do not harm human cognition.

Principles:

  1. Tools should not diminish human cognitive capacity through their use.
  2. Tools should engage their users in such a way that avoids cognitive surrender.
  3. Tools should be explainable.
  4. Tools should be honest.
